Mom Honors her Son who Died in Iraq, Then a Cop Tells her to Look Straight Ahead

California woman named Candida got into car accident and totaled her 2009 Nissan Cube. The most heartbreaking part was the fact the car had originally belonged to her son who died while serving in Iraq.
Army Spc. Jose Torre Jr. was 21 years old when he was killed overseas in 2011. He had bought the vehicle with the money he earned as an Army soldier. Huntington Beach police Officer John Baggs responded to Candida’s crash. Soon after his arrival on scene, something caught his eye. It was the car’s Gold Star license plate, which signifies that the car’s owner has lost a family member who served in the military. Since his father died after serving in the Vietnam War, Officer Baggs was particularly interested in hearing Candida’s story.
The kindhearted officer was so touched by the mother’s devotion to her late son’s vehicle. Though the Automobile Club of Southern California declared the car a total loss, he decided to do whatever it took to breathe new life into the Army Specialist’s prized possession. He had the car turned over in his name, and secretly enlisted the help of auto professionals. What this an incredible video!
