Police Officer Collapses to the Ground. Handcuffed Teen Swoops into Action
Jamal Rutledge was having a terrible day. He was 17, had just been arrested for violating terms of his probation and was waiting to be booked into a juvenile jail cell. Little did he know, the booking officer, Fort Lauderdale’s Officer Franklin Foulks, was about to have an even worse day….
Without warning, Officer Foulks collapsed, grabbing his chest and obviously struggling to breath. Jamal immediately jumped into action – he began to kick the holding room’s metal door and scream out for other officers to help. The officers ran into the room and found their peer on the ground, barely clinging to life. They started CPR and used a defibrillator to revive Officer Foulks.
