On March 4, 2013, Leslee and David were walking along a sidewalk in their Utah community. Driving on that same road was a woman who was late for work, speeding, and also texting. Being so distracted, she didn’t notice the car in front of her, slamming into it – which then plowed into the couple. Leslee was seriously injured, while David (husband, father, and grandfather) was killed on impact.
