After His Tragic Death, ‘America’s Got Talent’ Decides to Air Doctor’s Stunning Audition

Brandon Rogers auditioned for America’s Got Talent and won the hearts of the judges and the audience, but tragically, Rogers was killed just a few weeks later (June 11, 2017) in a car accident. He was just 29.
The episode with Rogers hadn’t aired yet, and after word of his death, the network wasn’t sure if they would ever show his audition.
At the request of Brandon’s family, the show honored his memory by sharing the audition with the world.
When he was 6 years old, Brandon came home and found his mother lying in a pool of blood. After rushing with her to the hospital, Brandon saw the doctors become heroes that day. They saved her life, and it inspired him to become a doctor himself.
He loved making a difference, and coped with the stresses of the job by singing.
“If I could find a way to combine being a doctor and medicine with music and singing, that would be a dream come true,” he told producers.
In the emotional clip below, Simon says Brandon is not only the first doctor to ever audition for the show, but that he finds his voice to be absolutely stunning.
