The Sea Organ is equal parts sculpture, sidewalk and musical instrument. By building these seaside steps with a series of pipes and channels, Nikola Bašić designed the Sea Organ to use the power of the waves crashing into it to generate music. The tones are random but harmonic, so the sounds created are beautiful, if a little eerie.
